I respectfully disagree...

So we're at the top of week 7 and this week the little one is growing arms and legs and the brain and kidney's are developing as well.

I am reading What to Expect to you know, find out what to expect and I've learned that the ever popular phrase "eating for two" though true is not a license to overindulge.  It seems that baby only needs 300 calories per day. Perfectly logical.

They further state that though mommy may need to alter what she's eating and the frequency of which she eats, she shouldn't really be eating more than normal.  It is to this that I respectfully disagree.

I am a woman who could take or leave breakfast, eat a little something for lunch and have a good dinner and be fine. I could even not eat anything until, say lunch and have a sandwich for dinner and power through the day.  BUT in these past couple of weeks, you'd think food was something I'd been deprived of on a regular basis. I am constantly starving and I'm beginning to think those Hobbits were on to something with the whole Breakfast, Second Breakfast, Elevensies, Lunch, Tea, Dinner and Supper thing.

But today, mommy and baby are doing fine because to my surprise this morning my boss ordered a breakfast of sausage, egg and cheese burritos for the team (bless him).  So I've had that as my second breakfast and an orange juice (my new energy drink) so I am in bliss.
